adidas Celebrates Sergio Garcia's First Major
18 years ago, adidas believed in a 19-year-old kid from Spain named Sergio Garcia. The world would come to know him as "El Niño." Today, they were able to see what we saw in the making all those years ago: a major champion. Sergio never stopped believing and neither did we.
We've been at Sergio's side since the beginning, cheering him on through victories and heartbreaks. He's part of the family. Now that the long wait for a major championship is over, we couldn't be more excited for him.
Finally, we tip our cap to fellow adidas athlete Justin Rose. Both he and Sergio represented the brand with pride on one of golf's greatest stages this week, and we expect the two of them to contend for many more majors in the years to come.
